There is no admission charge for visitors to the farm.
Located near East 15th Street and East Vilbig Road, the park is easily accessible from anywhere in the Dallas-Fort Worth region. The farm entrance is located at the Red Barn in the center of Fritz Park.

The petting farm provides a peaceful setting where visitors can enjoy the animals in a clean, well-shaded environment. A variety of animals, such as cows, horses, goats, sheep, chickens, turkeys, rabbits and even peacocks, reside at the farm.
The petting farm isn't just fun — it's educational as well! Children come with their school classes, and with their parents and grandparents.
Day care centers, school classes and private groups can make reservations for guided tours of the petting farm. Staff will give a personal introduction to the animals and provide an educational experience for the children. Tours usually last about 30 minutes and can be scheduled between 10 a.m. and noon Tuesday through Friday.

Volunteers help in many ways at the petting farm:
- Assist in the feeding of animals
- Help maintain a clean environment for both the animals and visitors
- Assist staff in other ways, such as showing the animals.
Volunteers provide an invaluable service on the petting farm, and we truly appreciate their contribution. The volunteers benefit from the program, which gives them the opportunity to work and learn. The number of volunteers is limited, so come to the Fritz Park Petting Farm early in the summer to assist.
