Yes, plan reviews are done on a first-come-first-serve basis for small jobs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. (unless we are closed for the holidays). If the plan review requires more than 15 minutes of our plan reviewers time, they must be dropped-off for review and you will be contacted when they are ready. We now take permit plans electronically.

You may go to the following link to Download the Application needed for plan submittal. Requirements on what to submit can be found on the Fire Department website under Inspections, generally 3 copies of plans and specification sheets for the equipment intended to be used are all that is needed but it all depends on the situation. Fire Permits can now be obtained online. For more information on obtaining a permit online, click here.

All business fire drills can be coordinated through the Fire Prevention Division by calling (972) 721-2779. If a school needs to schedule a Fire Drill you may call our main number at (972) 721-2651 and we will connect you to the fire station who is assigned to you.
