    Adults learn to identify the parts of a spreadsheet and toolbar, enter and edit data, format cells and use basic formulas. Basic computer skills are required. Classes are limited and are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to class time. No registration is required. Classes are in the computer lab unless otherwise noted.

  3. Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Series: The Choice is Yours

    In the final class session of this series, learn tools for managing your weight.

    This free bilingual seven-part series presents nutrition classes and recipe demonstrations. The program will help you learn how to make healthy and safe food choices, cook for your family, get the most for your money, and stay physically active. We pick the cookbook; you choose and make a recipe. Then we all partake. You don’t have to be a gourmet chef to participate. Novices will have the chance to learn from more experienced cooks, and the experienced cooks will have a chance to show off and share their amazing skills. It reduces stress and boosts your health. This free Spanish language meditation program is presented by DFW Sahaja Yoga Meditation. Classes will take place from 7-8 p.m., every Wednesday, starting May 2 in the South Library Board Room. Non-Spanish speakers and all ages are welcome.

    In observance of Memorial Day, there will be no residential trash, curbside recycling or brush collection May 28. In addition, the following facilities will be closed:

    • Recreation centers

    All offices and services will resume normal business hours on May 29.
