  2. MainStage: Calendar Girls

    March 17, 2017 - April 1, 2017 @ Dupree Theater

    When Annie’s husband dies of cancer, she and her best friend Chris, resolve to raise money for a new settee in the local hospital waiting room. They manage to persuade four fellow Women’s Institute members to pose unclothed with them for an “alternative” calendar benefiting the Leukemia Research Fund. The news of the women’s brave charitable venture spreads like wildfire, and hordes of press soon descend on the small village in the Yorkshire Dales. Inspired by true events, “Calendar Girls” is the heartwarming tale of ordinary women who achieved something extraordinary. Hold on to your knickers!

Parks and Rec - Aquatics

  1. Red Cross Lifeguard Class

    March 23, 2017 - March 26, 2017 @ Heritage Aquatic Center

    Want to learn skills that will help you save lives? Become a certified lifeguard.

    Prerequisite: Minimum age 15. Successful skills test, which includes 300-yard continuous swim; a 10-pound brick retrieval from a 7- to 10-foot depth of water followed by a 20-yard return carrying the brick; and treading water for two minutes without using hands. Test must be completed one week before class or must have instructor approval.

    Successful completion of the course will result in American Red Cross Life Guard/First Aid, CPR-Professional Rescuer, and AED certifications.
